Our Team.
The Critical Opportunities for Learning and Literacies Lab (COLab) is driven by a diverse team of faculty, research partners, and doctoral students who are committed to examining and expanding equitable learning opportunities.
Our faculty members bring expertise in literacy studies, learning sciences, digital media, and culturally responsive pedagogy, leading research that challenges inequities and reimagines literacy and education in diverse contexts.
Our research partners, including scholars and educators from various institutions and community organizations, collaborate on projects that investigate the intersection of technology, identity, and access in both classroom and digital spaces.
Our doctoral students play a critical role in advancing COLab’s mission, engaging in multimodal research, critical discourse analysis, and participatory studies that center student and teacher experiences. They contribute to publications, present at national conferences, and lead innovative projects that bridge research, policy, and practice.
Together, our team works to amplify marginalized voices, explore the impact of learning systems, and advocate for transformative educational practices that foster meaningful and just learning experiences.
